🎥 What Is This, Exactly?
The Popcorn Club is a monthly movie series from the folks at PaperHouse Theatre — for films that feel like us. Offbeat. Bold. A little chaotic. The kind of stories that break rules, bend genres, and make you grin at their sheer nerve.
Expect cinema with the same DIY soul and mischievous spirit as our stage work — movies that were too weird for the mainstream, too joyful to be ignored.
📍 Where
All screenings will take place in the intimate screening room located in the back of the legendary VisArt Video. A landmark of Charlotte's East Side, Charlotte's only surviving video store is conveniently located near Plaza-Midwood and many preshow dinning options in the Eastway Crossing shopping center.
